On the 30th of June 2026, H.E. Ambassador Maria Lourdes Bernadette Z. Banson was received by Atty. Regina Jacinto-Barrientos, the Honorary Consul of Malta to the Philippines, for a courtesy call at the Honorary Consulate in Makati City.

The meeting between the Ambassador and the Honorary Consul holds deep meaning as it celebrates the centuries-old bond between the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Republic of Malta, rooted in their shared history.

Discussed in the meeting were avenues for future collaborations between the two institutions and the commitment to humanitarian service and diplomacy.
